SIR THOMAS and LADY DIXON PARK, WITH BANBRIDGE OLD VEHICLE CLUB - 31ST JULY 2012

On a rather damp Tuesday evening at the end of July, 4 members of the Classic Rover Club attended an outing organised by Banbridge Old Vehicle Club (BOVC), in Lady Dixon Park, Belfast

Following a quick stop in Dunmurry, to give Gromit some medical attention (wheel change) Gromit and his driver, my husband, our son and I arrived in Lady Dixon Park just before 7pm.

On arrival we were greeted by one of the Classic Rover Club members, who is also a member of BOVC and was out with them.  He directed us into parking spots and chatted with us for awhile.

Despite the horrible evening, BOVC members turned up in good spirits.  By 8.00pm when our club secretary arrived, there were 9 vehicles on display an approximately 40 people in attendance.

Sheltering from the rain in the marquee, we were served tea, scone and biscuits, while we chatted with the members of BOVC.

Despite the rain, we had a lovely evening with a very friendly bunch of people.   We were very impressed by the comradely and efficiency of BOVC, we will definitely go to more events organised by them.
